About

This training equips clinical supervisors with the knowledge and skills to navigate generational differences in clinical supervision. Today’s supervision spaces often include supervisees from multiple generations—each shaped by unique cultural, social, and technological experiences that influence their learning styles, communication preferences, and professional development needs. Rather than stereotyping, this session frames generational awareness as a cultural competency that strengthens the supervisory alliance, enhances feedback effectiveness, and promotes inclusivity. Through exploration of each generation’s strengths, common challenges, and tailored supervision strategies, participants will learn how to adapt their feedback style, foster cross-generational learning, and bridge gaps that may emerge in the supervision relationship. By the end of the training, supervisors will be better prepared to create flexible, responsive, and equitable supervision practices that support supervisee growth and client well-being. (0.5 hours CEU for Texas LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and Psychologists)
