About

This interactive training equips clinical supervisors with the knowledge, self-awareness, and practical tools to integrate cultural responsiveness into their supervisory practice. Grounded in research on cultural humility, intersectionality, and power dynamics, the course explores how supervisors can foster safe, inclusive, and growth-oriented environments for all supervisees—especially those from historically marginalized backgrounds. Through a blend of reflective exercises, case discussions, and identity frameworks (including the ADDRESSING GSA model), participants will examine the impact of privilege, bias, and cultural identity in supervision. The course emphasizes building authentic supervisory relationships, broaching difficult conversations with care, and addressing microaggressions and cultural ruptures in ways that promote repair and trust. Ideal for licensed supervisors in clinical and educational settings, this course invites vulnerability, introspection, and action in service of more equitable supervision and client care. (1.5 hours CEU for Texas LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and Psychologists)
